In the summer of 2016, I took part in a two week fashion design course at the Barcelona campus of El Instituto Europeo di Design. The aim of the course was to learn how to design a collection. I did this by taking inspirations from images and draped fabric. An image that I was very inspired by, was that of The Dancing House in Prague. In particular, the contrast between the curved lines and the straight lines.

The very first thing we did was take items of clothing and draped them over mannequins to create a different item of clothing. I chose a two layered skirt and I ended up with this design on the mannequin.
From there I picked a few sections from what I had created, I used these to focus on when creating a collection so that there is cohesion between each design.
For the course we were asked to complete a line-up of our designs. For that we had to come up with one drawing of the body on which we would put all of our designs so as to be able to see all of the designs together.I decided to make mine purple so as to add a little colour to the overall line-up since the collection itself is monochrome.
